18-Piece Stainless Steel Tool Set

Amazon.com

The perfect gift for the serious outdoor chef, this comprehensive set contains everything needed to prepare, cook, serve, and enjoy a delicious barbecue meal (minus, of course, the grill, meat, and a cool beverage or two). Four, steak-house quality knives cut through thick porterhouses with ease. A long-handled carving knife and fork make serving simple. Precision-grip tongs make tasks from flipping pork chops, to picking up grilled veggies that much easier. A unique, multi-purpose spatula lifts food, drains grease, and has a serrated edge for cutting into meat to check doneness. There is even a bottle opener on one end for emergencies. Use the set’s basting brush to apply marinades and sauces. Eight, old-fashioned corn holders allow diners to eat buttery, grilled corn cobs while keeping hands clean. Finally, after you’ve eaten your fill, use the set’s handy grill brush for easy clean up.

Each tool is beautifully-constructed from durable stainless steel. Extra-long wooden handles allow cooks to stay a safe distance from hot coals. Patented rubber grips are comfortable and ergonomically-correct. The entire set comes packaged in a sturdy plastic case measuring 23 inches wide by 12 inches tall by 3 inches deep. It both protects the tools within, and makes them portable for camping, picnics, and tailgate parties. Each of the 18 pieces is covered by a five-year warranty. --Mary Park

Really disappointed. The plastic case sucks

Really disappointed. The plastic case sucks
Just opened the kit today. Really disappointed. The plastic case sucks. The cooking tools will not seat in their spots properly. Three of the steak knifes are sharpened but not really sharp and the fourth steak knife is not sharp at all. The big knife that came with the kit is bent badly , as well as the butter brush. I’m sending this product back from where it came. Very disappointed.

I almost didn't buy this because I wanted a set with a case, since I often loose or just leave laying around BBQ tools. I find the case to be functional and durable enough. It holds the items and even has molded spaces for each tool.

The tool quality is much better than I expected. They are heavy stainless steel and all work well. The knives especially exceeded my expectations. Very good quality. They can be used as everyday steak knives. Heavy and cut well. I for one cannot imagine anyone being unsatisfied buying this unless quality control varies a lot. For the price you are getting a heck of a nice and functional BBQ tool set.

Good quality barbeque tool set. Probably not the "best of the best", however, considering that these tools typically tend to get replaced a lot sooner because of their use, it's evident that normal wear and tear will probably occur more often. Hence, I tend not to spend too much money on these items. Nonetheless, this is a decent barbecue tool set, not the sturdiest case, but it protects the tools; has all the tools you need, and perhaps some you won't even use. I've had the set for approximately 8-9 months now, and they are holding up very well. So far I've used everything in the set with the exception of the corn holders. Overall, it's a nice set for the price, and gets the job done. Mr Bar B Q 02099X 18-Piece Stainless Steel Tool Set

I would imagine the tools are perfectly fine. But the case was real chintzy (cheap). The tool set appeared to have been possibly already returned once?? The plastic was cracked and not holding the tools in place. And that was important to me as I want a set that i can clean and put back in the case and store away. This case was not holding the tools from the day it arrived. Too bad. If the case were better, I would have kept it because the tools them selves seemed pretty good.

I ordered this set as Christmas present for my Dad. He loved it, but I had a few choice problems with it. Firstly, the case:

the Hardcase that it comes in is flimsy and made of some very cheap Rubber/Plastic- and I found that the very poorly designed clasps that secure the case shut were either damaged in shipping or were so poorly secured that they pop right off. They're simply two little plastic sliders and are extremly easy to fall off. Also, because of bending and warping of the plastic near the clasps, the sliders on my case don't line up properly and make it very difficult to open and close.

Secondly, upon opening the case I found that a lot of the tools had become dislodged when it was being shipped. They must have been clattering around for a while becuase some of the surfaces were knicked and scratched.

All in all the quality of the tools seems fine, but they certainly don't feel like stainless steel to me. If you're thinking about getting this as a gift for the BBQer in your family, I would honestly suggest spending a little more money and getting a better quality set of tools. However if you're looking for a cheap set to take on a camping trip or two, I'd consider getting these. They'll get the job done, but they certainly won't last you a lifetime.

I wish that the picture shown was the actual kit sold but other than that the tools themselves are great. The case is garbage and barely holds the tools in place. Don't let the case be the deciding factor because its very cheap.

Tools are solid and strong and a great addition to any set.

If you are considering this item, either for yourself or as a gift, save yourself the disappointment and move on. Firstly, the item provided is NOT the item pictured. This is a stainless steel set with black plastic grips. However, I expected the same quality between the wood and stainless steel sets. I ordered three of these BBQ accessory kits to gift this Christmas. Everything I state below was common to all three sets:

The storage box is a mess. It is made of molded plastic that warped either during manufacturing or shipping. The accessories wouldn't fit into their slots, and extra plastic (called flash) was everywhere. Very unattractive!

The black plastic grips are just as bad, with sloppy molding and flash on every single accessory (even the corn holders)! The tools are made of heavy stamped stainless steel, guaranteed to hold up where thinner steel tools would bend. You could lift a four pound steak or whole chicken with the spatula. However, stamped steel is also used to form the shaft and it isn't aligned properly. Nearly every tool has a very awkward bend that won't be easily fixed because of the steel's thickness.

Corn holders are garbage and will bend with very little pressure. Toss them.

A lot of bristles from the grill brush fell out during first use.

Very, very disappointed in this product. I need to buy three additional BBQ accessory kits because I wouldn't give these to anyone!

If your buying for the case, dont bother. The case does not really keep tools where they should and they are to insert. Tools however are very well made. My husband loved them and uses them frequently. Great choice for a bbq set, and the price is just right.

First off the picture is all wrong. The tools are just like the ones in the "Mr. Bar-B-Q 5-Piece Oval Stainless Handle Tool Set" except you also get the plastic case, scraper, 8 corn holders, and 4 knives, not the wooden ones shown in the picture. It comes with the XXXL spatula and tongs. I mean these thing are HUGE in every sense of the word. Its a nice set for the price. I would have like a smaller spatula and tongs like the ones shown, they are almost too big but I am sure this will last a long time, the tools look quite durable. Good buy, but just be aware what you are actually buying.
